Welcome to the Texas A&M collegiate chapter of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) webpage. The Texas A&M SAE is a student run organization which strives to give students hands on experience along with industry connections. For hands on experience the TAMU SAE offers seniors a chance to be part of our nationally renowned Formula SAE team. The FSAE team competes every year and is a 100% student designed and built racecar. It is designated as a senior design class which fulfills a technical elective or design class depending on major. For underclassmen the club offers a chance to work on the Grassroots Motorsports racecar. The GRM racecar is also built and designed by students, but on a much lower budget than the FSAE car. Our club holds meetings on the first of every month in the ENPH building, room 202. There is always free pizza, sponsored by Hungry Howie’s, and drinks. The meetings also host a speaker from the industry which is a great way to make connections.
